Skin Rejuvenation
For youthful and healthy looking skin, three factors must be controlled: redness in the form of rosacea or pseudo-rosacea, spots caused by the sun and environmental stressors as well as wrinkles and loss of tonus caused by a weak elastic fibre, collagen and hyaluronic acid structure that is regressing.
How can all these problems be treated to recreate a youthful balance? The answer: using laser devices. Let’s clear up a few points. There are several types of lasers and each type is used for very specific purposes. First of all, a laser is a device that produces a light energy source. This light is immediately absorbed by a specific structure when the beam comes into contact with the skin’s surface. For example, the CO2 laser beam is absorbed by the water molecules in the same fashion as the diode laser beam is absorbed by the pigments. The molecules are destroyed upon contact with the beam. Another example is the Nd:YAG laser; its beam targets the blood vessels.
